SHOP TALK

The 2015 Philadelphia International Auto Show starts this weekend and runs through Sunday, February 8th. Stop by the AACA exhibit at the new location on the 2nd floor near the Broad St. Entrance.

In the Shop Now... On the Road to Amelia

Northeastern winters are good for restoring British and Italian cars! We have been very busy at both Ragtops & Roadsters, and Pollock Auto Restoration, as we bring it all together to complete the full frame up restoration of Triumph Italia 2000 Vignale #122 that will debut at the 20th Annual Amelia Island Concours on March 15th. Our punch list gets shorter every day as we get closer to the show! Stay tuned.

In the Rearview

The Delaware Valley Jaguar Club celebrated their 50th anniversary on January 18th at the William Penn Inn. Due to a very icy morning 64 of the 100 guests registered came out for a delayed luncheon. Kurt Rappold thanks Charles Olson for his service with our new President Paul Merluzzi.

Later the same day, the Delaware Valley Triumph Club held their Annual Holiday Party at Pinecrest. Director Bob DeLucia awards "Member of the Year" to Charlie Frick. After a couple of years absence, the DVT negligee appeared at the ladies gift exchange! It was won by Mary Ellen Krout. It was reported that Chip was smiling!

We are very proud to sponsor the "Art of Lightness" at AACA Museum. Over 400 Lotus enthusiasts attended the opening night. Here Joe Marchione explains the legend of the "overhead cam engine and the I beam" to Mike Engard. This Lotus Europa Twin Cam, restored at R&R, along with many more, tell the story through April 26th.

Join us at the Philadelphia International Auto Show. We will be helping out at the AACA Exhibit throughout the week. We plan to participate and attend the AACA Annual Winter Meeting from 2/12–2/14 in Philly. Lots of good seminars resources here to enjoy... If your are passionate about Jaguar, plan to attend the JCNA "AGM" right here in Philadelphia in March 20–21. In March, the Amelia Island Concours will celebrate their 20th anniversary as Sir Stiring Moss returns to be this year's honoree! Twenty of his race cars will be assembled on the show field from all over the world!
